WORSHIP COMMISSION
The Worship Commission is responsible for planning, fostering, and promoting liturgical and spiritual growth in the parish, enabling parishioners to grow in their understanding of who they are as Christians.
ALTAR SERVERS Altar Servers help the priest before, during and after the Mass. They are boys or girls who are in at least the third grade and are scheduled to serve every third weekend.
CHOIRS Adult Choir provides music for the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday and special parish celebrations. Practices are on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in Room 1 of the school. All ages are welcome to join at anytime of the year. Youth Choir provides music for the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass once a month and special seasonal celebrations. We welcome high school and college age parishioners to join us. Children’s Choir provides music for 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass once a month and special seasonal celebrations (2nd grade -8th grade). Rehearsals are Wednesday, 4:45 - 5:30 p.m. in Rm. 1 of the school. Instrumentalists are welcome to participate in our music ministry. Those who play piano, flute, clarinet, trumpet, violin, guitar, etc.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTER Eucharistic Ministers give Communion during weekend Masses. They may also take communion to the sick and homebound and assist during special liturgies. Eucharistic Ministers have ministry formation periodically and are asked to spend time in prayer and reflection to prepare for their ministry.
FAMILY OF FAITH The St. Theresa Family of Faith Charismatic Renewal Prayer Group meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Church. What does the word Charismatic mean? It is derived from the Greek word meaning "gift". The Holy Spirit is a giver of Spiritual gifts or gifts of grace.
LADIES ALTAR SOCIETY The Ladies Altar Society takes care of the altar area in church and provides what is needed for the celebration of Mass. They meet at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the months in March and October school cafeteria for business and socializing.
LECTOR Readers proclaim God’s Word to the assembly during Mass and other services. Readers have ministry formation periodically and are asked to spend time in prayer, reflection, and practice of the readings during the week before they are scheduled.
ART AND ENVIRONMENT PLANNING GROUP This committee plans for the liturgical seasons and carries out its design in church for the parish celebrations. Seamstresses, interior decorators, and gardeners, are invited to join.
USHERS Ushers serve as ministers of hospitality for our weekend Masses. They also assist with seating, collections, offertory, Communion lines and distribute handouts after Mass. Ushers have ministry formation periodically and are scheduled to serve every third weekend . |
