PARISH LIFE COMMISSION

 

The Parish Life Commission seeks to organize and assist the various auxiliary organizations which function independent of St. Theresa of Avila parish, yet are Catholic in nature or supported by the faith community. Each organization has its own structure and governing body. In supporting these organizations, we hope to support the development of the whole person.

 

THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS

The Catholic Daughters of Court #1955 perform various charitable works in our community.  They also get together for social events. The meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at the K of C hall.

 

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Knights are involved in many projects to help our community. They also gather for Socializing. The meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the KC hall. The Ladies Auxiliary meets on the 1st Thursday at 7:30 p.m..

 

BOY SCOUTS

Incorporated to provide a program for community organizations that offers effective character, citizenship and personal fitness training for youth. Membership is open to boys age 5 through 18 in various units, including Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts.

 

GIRL SCOUTS

Membership in Girl Scouts is open to girls ages 5-17. Women and men over 18 can join as adult members. Local troops or groups enjoy fun and friendship, but find out about building character and self esteem and serving the community. Girls find a safe place to grow and share new experiences to learn to relate to others, develop values and contribute to society.
